My scope of work is ‘UX Design’ in every products they have.

throughout my career at tourkrub, i’ve helped them develop their online platform, both for customers and for operation.

Tourkrub is the online travel-tech startup company. They sell over 1,000+ packages from many sources as online agent. Currently, their products include website (Visit Here), mobile app (Visit App Store) and operation tool such as admin tool and dashboards.

Here’s the process for each project I have done to put out most effective design.

My role at Tourkrub:

  • UX Designer for the whole product (every features launched)

    • Requirement analysis

    • User research

    • User journey and wireframe designs

    • User testing & analytical event tracking experiments

rEQUIREMENT & RESEARCH

Understand what to do, who is it for and plan out works

When initiate new projects either requirements from business or customer, I manage to create document as ‘Source of Truth’ to gather information and be a place to restore all research and data found.

Work progress at Tourkrub

  1. Meet up stakeholders to gather requirements

  2. Gather references in Slides

  3. Analyse final requirements

  4. Create ‘Design Task’ table to sum up requirement and scope

  5. Assign tasks to team

UX DESIGN

When got requirement clear enough, I’ll start wireframe according to situations as in steps here:

  1. Set ‘SCENARIO’ for each requirement

  2. Journey Mapping (Physical post-it or digital)

  3. Low-fidelity Wireframe

  4. Hands to UI Designer to visualise better

Design digital journey mapping for each scenario

Next, put wireframe pages into journey mapping (because if there’s fellow pages already exist, I’ll mark by colour.).

VISUALISE

I made UI design sometimes but if there’s UI Designer in team, I have to ask for their help since visual sensibility is different. Mostly for Tourkrub products that directly communicate with customers, we will have more delicated UI compare to internal operation portal.

The interfaces will be arranged into flow as final version used to communicate to start implement. Sample here:

Prototype & TESTING

In order to prove design, I also manage to set user testing according to methodology needed to be validate.

Firstly,

I created prototype to test through Invision or Sketchapp.

Then,

my team and I have done some of these methodology:

  1. Usability test

  2. A/B testing (with the help of developers to implement it)

  3. Heat Maps and Analytics Analysis (Using data tracking to validate design)

  4. Survey & Questionnaire

  5. User Interview

After testing, my team and I would record the test result in the table within same document so that everyone can see and understand on the same page.
